Ever wanted to become more than a fan of horse racing by becoming an owner? It used to be that only the elite were able to afford racehorses, but now, with fractional ownership, any fan can experience the excitement and educational opportunities that come with owning a share of a racehorse.

What is fractional ownership?

Fractional groups are a great way to dip your toes into the world of racehorse ownership. As a participant, you’ll own 2 percent of a racehorse for roughly five to six months. Since your percentage of ownership is so low, it doesn’t require a state horse ownership license.

The cost generally ranges from a one time fee of $300$500. It’s that simple. You’ll get to enjoy the behind-the-scenes benefits of horse ownership, like visiting the stable and partaking in winner’s circle photos, but you will not be responsible for the more complicated decisions, such as training and program management.
